On 3 December 2023, Siha Hotel and Casino, a lavish investment worth US$50 million nestled in Group 14, Village 1, Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville, was inaugurated by HE Kouch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province.

Expressing admiration for Malaysia’s significant investment in Sihanoukville’s hospitality sector, HE Kouch Chamroeun highlighted the strategic decision by Malaysian investors to channel US$50 million into the hotel and casino project. He noted that such foresight from the company’s management post-COVID-19 reflects confidence in the country’s potential for growth and prosperity.

As Cambodia’s tourism sector gears up for the Royal Government’s vision of enhancing tourism exchanges with China in 2024, the governor emphasized the promising signs observed at US and European tourist airports, witnessing approximately 4,000 tourists daily. Acknowledging Sihanoukville’s status as a sought-after tourist destination, he stressed the importance of well-prepared staff capable of providing top-notch service.
