Chinese Entertainment Giant Set to Launch Immersive Angkor 3D Museum

Cambodia’s tourism landscape is preparing for a high-tech revolution as plans advance to bring the glorious history of the Khmer Empire into the digital age. Legendary Entertainment and Culture Group Ltd., a prominent Asian entertainment conglomerate, has officially announced that its flagship Immersive Angkor project will open in Siem Reap by late 2026 or early 2027 at the latest. The milestone announcement was confirmed during a high-level meeting on July 17, 2026, between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and Anne Zhao, Executive Director of the company.

During the diplomatic engagement, Anne Zhao briefed the Prime Minister on the steady progress of the Immersive Angkor project, describing it as the company’s flagship investment in the Kingdom. Designed as Cambodia’s very first technology-enabled 3D museum dedicated to ancient heritage, the project will leverage state-of-the-art digital displays to recreate the grandeur of historical Khmer architecture and culture. Beyond this initial facility in Siem Reap, the company is actively exploring additional project opportunities across Cambodia to help elevate the national tourism sector and promote Khmer civilization to a broader global audience.

In response, Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet warmly commended the company’s decision to invest in Cambodia’s vibrant cultural ecosystem. He emphasized that integrating advanced digital technology with historical preservation serves as an exceptionally powerful mechanism to share the nation’s rich civilization with international visitors. To ensure the project achieves long-term success, the Prime Minister encouraged Legendary Entertainment to maintain close cooperation with relevant Cambodian ministries and government agencies while continuing to explore new investment opportunities throughout the Kingdom.

As a leading integrated tourism and entertainment platform in Asia, Legendary Entertainment and Culture Group Ltd. specializes in developing, managing, and operating high-end cultural assets, live performances, and modern entertainment ventures. The group operates across three core business pillars, which include theme parks and live performance venues across Asia, high-tech 3D immersive museum operations, as well as food, beverage, and hospitality services. By bringing its digital experience design to Siem Reap, the group aims to offer international travelers an innovative, immersive gateway into the ancient wonders of Angkor.
