According to the September 1, 2026 meeting, H.E. Ros Vanna, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport and Director of the Sihanoukville Drainage and Wastewater Treatment Infrastructure Development Project, chaired a bilateral working session at the ministry headquarters. The Cambodian delegation met with representatives from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Cambodia, led by First Secretary Mr. Gao Shi Chao. The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of State, the Director General of the General Department of Wastewater Treatment System, project managers, members of the technical working group, and official representatives from the Preah Sihanouk Provincial Department of Public Works and Transport.

The primary focus of the consultation was to review, discuss, and gather specialized inputs regarding the draft project agreement and cost estimation framework for the implementation of Sihanoukville’s wastewater and drainage infrastructure development.
