MPWT Choosing Locations for Ring Road 4 Construction

The Ministry of Public Works and Transport held an inter-ministerial meeting on 19 October to discuss the locations of the Ring Road 4 construction. The ministry has revealed that the route will be around 195km and pass through four provinces.

The meeting was participated in by eight representatives from relevant ministries and ten private firms, both local and international.

The ministry revealed that the road is approximately 195 kilometres long, passing through 14 districts in four provinces. Those include three districts in Kampong Speu, one Takeo, eight in Kandal, and two in Prey Veng.

According to the same source, China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) is one of the firms presenting a feasibility study to the government.

Last month, Minister of Public Works and Transport HE Sun Chanthol said that the team has already completed the feasibility study of the Ring Road 4 project. (Read more)

Meanwhile, Ring Road 3 is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed in 2022. (Read more)
