Myanmar Investors Eye Lucrative Real Estate Opportunities in Cambodia

Myanmar investors are actively seeking investment opportunities in Cambodia’s real estate sector and other key industries. During a recent meeting between the Association of Innovation and Development Investors (IDI) and ID Capital PLC (IDC) with Myanmar investors on 4 May 2023, the potential for economic collaboration between the two countries was explored.

Under the chairmanship of Dr. Hor Sereyvath, Chairman of the Board, the meeting provided a platform for trade discussions between Myanmar economic investors and Cambodian counterparts. Ms. Daw Yee Wyne Oo, Managing Director of a Myanmar-based investment firm, highlighted her interest in Cambodia’s food, beverage, and real estate sectors, particularly in light of the country’s welcoming stance towards foreign investment.

The meeting served as an opportunity for mutual learning, with both parties sharing insights into their respective business models. Daw Yee Wyne Oo expressed her commitment to disseminating the knowledge gained from the meeting to fellow Myanmar investors, emphasizing the potential for seizing investment opportunities in Cambodia.
