Nestlé Switzerland Wants to Invest in Cambodia

Nestlé Switzerland has expressed its intention to seek more investment opportunities in Cambodia, especially in setting up a factory in Cambodia that sees significant uses for Nestlé products.

At the invitation of Nestlé Switzerland, HE Pan Sorasak, Minister of Commerce, led a delegation from the Ministry of Commerce on 16 June to visit Nestlé Switzerland, located in Vevey, Switzerland to discuss, exchange information and see a presentation of the company’s business operations in the global market as well as the Cambodian market, and to seek more investment opportunities in Cambodia.

The minister informed Nestlé Switzerland about the potential for investment in Cambodia, noting that Cambodia has recently implemented the Cambodia-China Bilateral Free Trade Agreement, Cambodia-Korea and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) with 10 ASEAN countries and partners -China, Japan, Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

In response, the Nestlé Switzerland representative presented the company’s business operations in the global market as well as the Cambodian market, and through that presentation, the Cambodian market is a market with remarkable demand for Nestlé products, and the company intends to invest the plant in the future.
