New 49-Hectare Logistics Hub Set to Transform Sihanoukville into a Premier Regional Trade Gateway

Government officials and investors convene to unveil the first phase of the Sihanoukville Logistics Center aimed at bolstering Cambodia’s global competitiveness

The Sihanoukville Logistics Center (SHV-LC), a strategic initiative by the Royal Government of Cambodia, is poised to take shape on approximately 49 hectares of land in the near future. The project’s vision was recently highlighted during a major investors’ conference held on March 23, 2026. The event was presided over by His Excellency Heng Norn, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, and His Excellency Meas Soksensan, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, with the participation of Mr. Long Dimanche, Deputy Governor of Preah Sihanouk Province.

According to Mr. Long Dimanche, the development of the SHV-LC is a central component of the government’s master plan to modernize the nation’s logistics network. The initial phase of this ambitious project will occupy 49.25 hectares of land, strategically located to leverage the province’s deep-sea port and existing industrial infrastructure. This development is expected to serve as a vital link in the regional supply chain, facilitating more efficient movement of goods and reducing transportation costs for businesses operating within the Kingdom.

The establishment of this logistics center aligns with the broader goal of transforming Preah Sihanouk Province into a multi-purpose Special Economic Zone. By integrating modern warehousing, distribution centers, and advanced logistics technology, the SHV-LC aims to enhance Cambodia’s investment climate. Officials emphasized that the project will not only attract high-value industries but also create significant employment opportunities, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic growth of the coastal region and the country at large.
