Oknha Pung Kheav Se donates US$500,000 to the government to fight COVID-19

Oknha Pung Kheav Se and Lok Chum Teav have donated US$500,000 to the Royal Government of Cambodia to fight COVID-19.

In response to this kind and generous gesture to the Cambodian people, on 20 March 2020, Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent a letter of appreciation to Oknha Pung Kheav Se and Lok Chum Teav for their contribution to fighting COVID-19.

The Prime Minister stated in the letter that “I am so proud to see our citizens care and help each other during the pandemic.”

Oknha Pung Kheav Se, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canadia Bank and Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC), has currently invested in the US$1.5 billion project for the construction of the new Phnom Penh International Airport.

In addition, Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se is also the Chairman of the Cambodia Constructors Association and Chairman of the Cambodia-Chinese Alliance in Cambodia, which has contributed significantly to the development of the Cambodian construction industry. More recently, as President of the Cambodia-China Alliance Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se, also raised over US$400,000 to join the Chinese government in the fight against COVID-19.

Oknha Pung Kheav Se is a renowned investor in Cambodia. In 2019, he was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration by Prime Minister Hun Sen on behalf of the Royal Academy of Cambodia for his great contribution to the socio-economic development of Cambodia. (Read more)

By the early afternoon of 21 March, the Royal Government of Cambodia had received donations of over US$9 million to fight the spread of COVID-19 spread.
