Over 2,900 Construction Projects Worth US$3.8 billion Approved in First 8 Months

The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction has approved a total of 2,901 construction projects during the first eight months of 2021, a 449-project drop compared to the same period last year.

According to a report by the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the total investment value of the aforementioned projects was US$3,843 million, also down by 24.4% year on year.

Among all the projects, there were a total of 2,530 residential projects, accounting for 87.2% of all the proposals, which also decreased by 15% compared to the same period last year.

In 2020, the total value of construction projects was US$7.75 billion, a 32% decrease compared to 2019.
