Prince Group Announces Plans for 88-Meter-High Buddha Statue in SHV

Canopy Sands Development Co., Ltd. has announced plans to build an 88-meter-high Buddha statue in Ream Commune, Preah Sihanouk Province. The statue, which will be the third project of its kind, is part of the company’s ongoing efforts to promote Khmer culture and architecture in Cambodia.

This 88-meter-long Buddha statue will be erected in Ream Commune, Preah Sihanouk Province. According to the project guideline map, the statue is located approximately 1.2 km from the Preah Thong Neang Neak roundabout and 2.3 km from the “Khmer Can Do” site.

The construction of this Buddha statue is the third project: the first one is the 108-meter-high Buddha statue on top of Bokor Mountain at the Preah Monivong Bokor National Park in Kampot province, and the second one is a planning project for an 80-meter-long Buddha statue in Preah Sihanouk province. (Read more and more)

The Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning, and Construction and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts are currently working to ensure that the project adheres to Khmer architectural style and meets all legal requirements. HE Hang Sotsamphea, Under Secretary of State, and HE Chea Chanthepras, Deputy Secretary General of the Board of Architects of Cambodia, are leading the discussions.

According to a spokesperson, the company is committed to promoting Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage and supporting local communities. “We believe that this project will not only be a beautiful addition to the landscape but will also serve as a symbol of peace and tranquillity for all who visit,” the spokesperson said.

The statue, which is set to be completed shortly, is expected to attract tourists from all over the world and further boost the region’s economy. CSD has a strong track record of successful development projects in Cambodia and is poised to continue its growth in the coming years.
