Saudi Arabia and Cambodia Strengthen Investment Ties Across Key Sectors

In a significant move towards enhancing bilateral relations, Cambodia and Saudi Arabia have pledged to expand investment cooperation in various key sectors. The commitment was articulated during a meeting between Prime Minister Hun Manet and His Excellency Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, Speaker of the Saudi Arabian Parliament, on July 2, 2025.

During the meeting, His Excellency Al-Sheikh emphasized the importance of this official visit in fostering closer ties and greater cooperation between the legislative bodies of both nations. He expressed his belief in Cambodia’s potential and highlighted the country’s long-term vision for sustainable growth, as outlined in the Cambodia Vision 2050 initiative.

Prime Minister Hun Manet responded positively, noting the robust relations that have been established between Cambodia and Saudi Arabia. He reiterated Cambodia’s strategic policy to enhance connections with Middle Eastern countries, specifically Saudi Arabia, as part of its broader goal to strengthen international trade.

To facilitate the expansion of trade, relevant ministries and institutions from Cambodia have actively engaged with their Saudi counterparts, aiming to bolster private sector connections. The discussions also covered a range of sectors ripe for collaboration, including trade, agriculture, culture, tourism, and aviation.

Both leaders agreed on the necessity for ongoing efforts to promote bilateral cooperation, with strong encouragement for ministries and institutions to remain active in strengthening ties. This meeting represents a significant step toward a prosperous partnership between Cambodia and Saudi Arabia, promising mutual benefits for both nations.
