Siemens Healthineers plans to invest in Cambodia’s Healthcare Sector

In a significant development for Cambodia’s healthcare landscape, Siemens Healthineers has shown a keen interest in enhancing medical technology investment and expanding healthcare infrastructure in the country. This news follows a productive meeting on November 5, 2025, between H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and Ms. Tisha Botman, Executive Vice President of Siemens Healthineers.

During the meeting, H.E. Sun Chanthol emphasized the government’s commitment to advancing the health sector through the supply, installation, and maintenance of cutting-edge medical equipment. This initiative aligns with the Royal Government’s health development strategy, which aims to boost economic growth and improve the quality of healthcare services available to citizens.

H.E. Chanthol also emphasized the importance of developing local expertise by training health officials, radiologists, and engineers who are capable of operating and maintaining high-tech medical equipment. This focus on skill localization could play a crucial role in enhancing the sustainability of healthcare improvements in the country. Additionally, he encouraged Siemens Healthineers to explore investment opportunities that would help diversify its supply chain within Cambodia.

In response, Siemens leaders expressed their enthusiasm for Cambodia’s vision for healthcare development and the government’s commitment to reform. They indicated a willingness to investigate ways to expand their operations and investments in the Cambodian healthcare sector, pledging to provide advanced technology and sustainable healthcare solutions.
