Singaporean Companies Eye Investment Opportunities in Cambodia’s Industrial and Innovation Sectors

In a significant move to bolster economic collaboration, a delegation of 16 investment firms from Singapore visited Cambodia to explore promising investment opportunities within the country’s industrial and innovation sectors. The delegation, which included representatives from diverse sectors such as life sciences, digital training, food processing, engineering services, and infrastructure, met with HE Hem Vandy, the Minister of Industry, Science, Technology, and Innovation, on July 30, 2025.

During the meeting, the Singaporean representatives expressed their intent to deepen their engagement in Cambodia by gaining insights into the country’s development landscape and identifying potential investment avenues in manufacturing, research and development, and technological innovation. Many of these companies are already operational in Cambodia and are keen to expand their footprint and foster new partnerships.

Prior to this engagement, on July 29, 2025, the Singapore Business Federation held discussions with the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, underscoring their commitment to invest in Cambodia. They highlighted the crucial role of the private sector in driving economic growth and emphasized the need for further support from the Royal Government, including enhanced business incentives and the introduction of innovative initiatives.

This ongoing dialogue between Singaporean businesses and Cambodian authorities marks a promising step towards strengthening bilateral trade relations and harnessing the potential of Cambodia’s growing industrial and innovation landscape.
