Sino Group Plans Mobile Hospital Initiative in Cambodia

Sino Group, a prominent healthcare and real estate company based in Hong Kong, is exploring new investment opportunities in Cambodia, including the establishment of a mobile hospital aimed at enhancing healthcare access for remote communities.

During a meeting held on September 11, 2025, His Excellency Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, engaged in discussions with Mr. Robert Ng, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Sino Group. The meeting highlighted the potential for Sino Group to expand its footprint in Cambodia while committing to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, particularly in the health sector.

His Excellency Sun Chanthol urged Sino Group to evaluate further investments in Cambodia and to take an active role in CSR activities. He emphasized the vital need for improved health services in underserved areas, underscoring the importance of a mobile hospital initiative to meet these challenges.

Mr. Robert Ng responded positively, agreeing to consider the proposal for a mobile hospital to bolster social welfare in Cambodia. “We are committed to contributing to the health and well-being of the Cambodian people,” he stated.

Sino Group is not new to Cambodia, having already made significant investments that include a stake in Yeo’s, a leading fruit juice manufacturer in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone, which has created approximately 500 local jobs. The company is recognized for its CSR efforts, focusing on green living, community spirit, and innovative design to promote better living standards.

As discussions continue, the potential for a mobile hospital could lead to significant improvements in healthcare access for those in need across Cambodia, aligning with both Sino Group’s investment goals and the government’s commitment to enhancing the nation’s health services.
