South Korea Finances Us$700 Million Loan to Help Infrastructures in Cambodia

The government of Republic of Korea has recently provided a USD700 million loan to Cambodia to upgrade and expand the infrastructure system in Cambodia, according to an official FB Page Samdech Hun Sen, Cambodian Prime Minister.

The loans agreement was signed by Samdech Hun Sen Prime Minister of Cambodia and H.E. Moon Jae-In President of Republic of Korea during Cambodia-Korea business forum on 15 March during H.E. Moon official visit to Cambodia.

This multi-million dollar agreement comprises of the improvement on infrastructures, water resource sector, public welfare, educations, human resource training, rural development, and the improvement of the National Road No. 2, and Road No.22.

Cambodia government and Republic of Korea has been so far strongly cooperated with each other. From 1996 to 2018, the government of Korea has provided a total US$ 632 million loan to Cambodia, of which US$ 300 million were grant aid to help improvement infrastructure and facility in Cambodia.
