Koh Thom stadium swimming pool complete and ready for 2023 SEA Games SEA Game

The pool at Koh Thom District Stadium in Kandal province is now 100% complete. The achievement will be in place for the 3rd National Sports competition, which runs 4-15 May 2020.

In addition to the stadium being used on a daily basis, the international standard pool has also been constructed for Cambodian athletes to practice for the 32nd SEA Games in 2023 which will be hosted in Cambodia at the Techo Heritage National Stadium.

“In the past, Koh Thom district was flooded, but through the efforts of the Royal Government under the leadership of the Cambodian People’s Party, it has built a football field, basketball field, volleyball field, and the international standard swimming pool which will allow all athletes to train to prepare for the 2023 SEA Games with Cambodia as the host,” said HE Sun Chanthol, Minister of Public Works and Transport, who led a delegation to check on the progress of the construction of the water pool, on 8 March, 2020.

The swimming pool is located in Koh Thom stadium in Prek Thmey village, Prek Thmey commune, Koh Thom district, Kandal province, and cost US$360,000. (Read More)
