US$25 million Coastal Business Centre Proposed for Kampot

Gold Coast International Development Co., LTD has proposed investing US$24.8 million to build a coastal business centre on 42 hectares of land in Kampong Trach district in Kampot province, according to the Kampot Provincial Administration on 13 August.

Located in Thkov village, Russey commune, Kampong Trach district, the project will comprise of commercial centres, 4-star hotels, shopping malls, entertainment centres, condominiums, and tourism services.

Kampot Governor H.E Chev Tay said that the provincial administration has already received the proposal and will later arrange a working group to review the technical and legal procedures.

“After the study is completed, we will submit to the proposal to the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and Samdech Prime Minister Hun Sen to approve,” said the governor.

Despite the COVID-19 crisis, Kampot has become a province with significant property investment potential, as domestic tourism is rising, according to a local real estate expert. (Read more)
