WLCC Explores Investment Opportunities in Cambodia’s Construction & Real Estate Sectors

The World Lin Chamber of Commerce (WLCC) is investigating investment prospects in Cambodia’s priority sectors, particularly construction and real estate. This initiative was discussed during a meeting between Mr Tan Sri Dato Lim Soon Peng, President of the World Lin Chamber of Commerce, and PM Samdech Hun Manet on 28 May 2024.

Mr Tan Sri Dato Lim Soon Peng commended Cambodia’s development, highlighting the country’s peace and political stability, which fosters a favourable investment climate. He emphasised that the WLCC’s visit aims to delve deeper into Cambodia’s potential in construction, real estate, agriculture, green energy, health, and other sectors.

Furthermore, he announced that the Kolin World Chamber of Commerce will collaborate with the Kolin Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia to host a conference in November 2024. This event will attract 1,000 to 2,000 members and investors from the Kolin World Chamber of Commerce to explore and capitalise on investment opportunities in Cambodia.

In response, the PM expressed strong support for the upcoming conference and encouraged the World Lin Chamber of Commerce to continue collaborating with relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions. This partnership aims to enhance investment ties and stimulate growth in various sectors of the Cambodian economy.

This strategic initiative by the WLCC underscores the growing interest in Cambodia as a viable investment destination, promising significant advancements in infrastructure, commerce, and sustainable development.
