Construction of US$50 million Chinese-funded Tbong Khmum Hospital 70% Complete

Construction of the US$50-million Cambodia-China Friendship Tbong Khmum Hospital is now 70% complete and is scheduled to be finished by October this year.

The update was shared by Minister of Health HE Mam Bunheng during the construction inspection on Saturday 03 July.

With ground broken in March 2019, the project is currently being built on an area of 24,300sqm with a US$50 million Chinese grant.

HE Mam Bunheng said that upon completion, this project will be the second-largest hospital after the Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital.

The US$80-million Cambodia-China Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital is currently under construction and has been set to put into temporary operation in September, and full-service by early next 2022. (read more)
