In a positive boost for its tourism sector, Cambodia welcomed nearly 30,000 visitors from Singapore in the first eight months of 2025, marking a notable increase of almost 4% compared to the previous year. This growth reflects the ongoing commitment between Cambodia and Singapore to enhance bilateral cooperation in tourism.

The recent figures were shared during a meeting on September 29, 2025, between H.E. Huot Hak, Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism, and H.E. Alvin Tan, Singapore’s Minister of Trade and Industry, as part of the ASEAN Tourism Ministerial Meeting. The meeting emphasized the importance of tourism as a key driver for both nations’ economies.

In 2024, Cambodia welcomed a total of 45,895 tourists from Singapore, representing a 4.6% rise from 2023. As of August 2025, 29,121 Singaporean tourists had already visited, which equates to a 3.7% increase from the same period last year. Both ministers expressed their appreciation for the progress made in tourism cooperation and shared a mutual vision to strengthen ties further, aiming to increase tourist exchanges between the two countries.

Additionally, Cambodia’s overall tourism landscape is thriving. In the first eight months of 2025, the country attracted over 4 million international tourists and saw a significant rise in domestic tourism, with 17.28 million locals traveling within the country—a remarkable increase of nearly 53% compared to the same timeframe in 2024.
