Cambodia’s First Sports Village Completed for the 2023 SEA Games

The 2023 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, scheduled to be held in Cambodia, are set to be a grand celebration of sports and culture. To host this very splendid event, the Sports Village for the 2023 SEA Games was officially inaugurated on the evening of 20 April 2023 under the presidency of Samdech Pich Sena Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense, and Chairman of the National Organizing Committee of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games and the 12th ASEAN Para Games 2023 (CAMSOC-CAMAPGOC).

The newly inaugurated Sports Village is the perfect example of Cambodia’s preparation to welcome athletes from across the region.

“The Sports Village for the 2023 SEA Games is 100% complete and is ready to welcome all athletes and sports delegates,” said Samdech Tea Banh.

The Sports Village is built to accommodate more than 5,000 people every day during the SEA Games, with a total of over 5,000 beds available.

“We have taken great care to ensure that athletes and sports delegates will have a comfortable stay at the Sports Village, with all necessary facilities provided,” added Samdech Tea Banh.

The village is located in Keila Village, which is now gearing up to welcome delegates and athletes who will arrive gradually from April 27 to participate in the SEA Games. With the village’s completion, Cambodia is one step closer to hosting a successful SEA Games. (Read more)
