Phnom Penh: Modernizing Cambodia’s national transport framework and logistics sector gained strategic momentum through enhanced dialogue with international advisory partners and diplomatic mission representatives. On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, H.E. Chhieng Pich, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, led a technical team from the General Department of Logistics in a working meeting at the ministry headquarters with a delegation from the British Embassy in Cambodia, accompanied by representatives from global engineering consultancy ARUP and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change (TBI). The international delegation was led by Mr. Andy Hodgson, Global Advisory Leader at ARUP, and Ms. Kathleen Kho, Asia-Pacific Director at TBI.

The consultative session aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of Cambodia’s strategic policies and master plans governing transport and logistics development. Discussions focused on establishing clear infrastructure project prioritization frameworks and exploring technical, financial, and analytical support mechanisms for high-impact development initiatives. Both parties engaged in constructive exchanges to identify key bottlenecks, examine feasibility options, and streamline future collaboration on priority transport networks designed to strengthen regional connectivity and trade efficiency.

The collaboration between the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the British Embassy, ARUP, and TBI underscores the growing emphasis on data-driven infrastructure planning and international expertise in Cambodia.
