Dara Sakor International Airport to Begin Operation by Late 2021

Construction of Dara Sakor International Airport in Koh Kong province is set for completion by next month, while the test operation is scheduled for 30 December this year.

Representatives of the Dara Sakor International Airport construction firm confirmed the two dates during the meeting with the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) on Tuesday 21 September.

Covering an area of up to 4.5 hectares in Botum Sakor district, the US$350 million Dara Sakor International Airport project is being developed by the Chinese firm Tianjin Union Development Group (UDG).

Once operational, the airport will be able to handle long-haul aircraft including the Boeing 777 and Airbus A340.
