Gov’t to Enhance Drainage & Sewage System in North-eastern Cities

The government is planning to expand and improve the drainage and wastewater treatment systems in three cities in the north-eastern provinces, with Sen Monorom city in Mondulkiri, set as a pilot.

The project to improve the drainage and wastewater treatment system was discussed in a meeting between relevant officials on Thursday 9 March.

Mr Heng Sal Piseth of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport said that this plan is linked to the Mondulkiri Tourism Development Master Plan set by the government in 2021.

He added that Sen Monorom will be the first target while the next two will be Stueng Treng city and Kratie city.
