Gov’t to transform wet land in Tboung Khmum to carbon-natural ecotourism site

The Ministry of Environment has been preparing the dry river in Ou Raing Ov district to become a  carbon-neutral ecotourism site, according to the Ministry’s announcement on 27 February.

The dry river is located in the Preah Theat Basrey temple area in Preah Theat commune, Ou Raing Ov district, Tbong Khmum province.

The land is being developed as a natural historical site by the national working group led by HE Eang Sophalleth, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Environment.

The project also includes the construction of water storage and necessary infrastructure for locals. Over one million flowers and 1,000 trees will also be planted.

At least 50 solar panels will also be installed for daily usage of the people.
