Angkor Wat Rakes in Over US$27 Million from Ticket Sales in 10 Months

In a resounding testament to Cambodia’s rich cultural heritage, the first ten months of 2023 have seen the nation amass an impressive revenue of US$27,882,435 through the sale of tickets to the renowned Angkor resort. The entrancing complex has been embraced by 602,570 foreign tourists, underlining the enduring allure of this cultural gem.

A report unveiled by the Angkor Institute on 1 November 2023 reveals that this revenue surge represents a staggering 312.35% increase when compared to the same period in 2022. This meteoric rise is a testament to the unwavering fascination and interest that Angkor continues to ignite in global visitors.

For the month of October 2023, Angkor Institution achieved an impressive US$2,927,038 in ticket sales, drawing 63,009 foreign tourists to its awe-inspiring embrace. This October surge showcases a remarkable 79.02% growth when juxtaposed with the corresponding period in 2022, reinforcing Angkor’s timeless appeal.

The Angkor experience for international tourists remains a remarkably good value journey. Visitors have the option of purchasing a one-day ticket for US$37, a three-day pass for US$62, or an entire week’s immersion for US$72. These tickets unlock a world of cultural treasures, allowing visitors to explore the grandeur of Angkor at their own pace.
