Makro to Build Huge Commercial Centre in Siem Reap Province

On August 10, 2018, the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) approved plans by Makro (Cambodia) Company Limited to build a huge commercial centre in Siem Reap Province worth more than US$18 million.

According to the CDC, this project is located in Kork Thnout Village, Sandan Commune, Prasat Bakong District, Siem Reap Province. This new commercial project will help generate 179 jobs for the province while also bringing more goods supply as well as commercial activity.

Meanwhile, Siem Reap recently welcomed another mall called The Heritage Walk located in the heart of Siem Reap Province. The mall has more than 100 shop, restaurants, cafes and cinemas.

In addition, the nation’s top tourist province is also expected to welcome the Cambodia-China Cultural and Creative Park worth more than US$70 million by the end of 2020. Investment for the project is from Chinese company Yunnan Cultural Industry Investment Holding Group, which is building on 3.3 hectares near the Sokha Siem Reap Hotel (read more).
