Private Firm to Build New Eco-Tourism Port in SHV’s Prey Nob District

The Sihanoukville provincial administration has given the green light to a private firm to develop a new eco-tourism port in the Prey Nup district, aimed at expanding the province’s tourism potential.

According to the site inspection by Sihanoukville Governor HE Kouch Chamroeun on Tuesday 14 December, the port will be a small-scale structure so that the beauty and ecology of the area will be preserved.

Located in Trapeang Kea village, Cheung Ko commune, land for the development has been registered, with a 30-metre-long strip of land taken from a natural canal.

Despite giving the greenlight, HE Kouch Chamroeun also requested the project owners to study carefully to create a minimum impact on the environment.
