Water Management in Kandal Reconfigured to Mitigate Flooding on New PP Airport Construction Site

The Kandal Provincial Administration has issued new measures to mitigate the flooding issue on the new Phnom Penh International Airport construction site, in particular the site of Runway 1.

According to the announcement dated 3 September 2021, the provincial administration has temporarily closed the sewage at the corner of Canal 90 and Dam 54 and cut off Dam 54 from between Canal 90 to Canal 92.

The provincial administration has also prepared a detour along Steung Tonle Bati for commuters to travel temporarily until the end of the heavy-rain week.
