Cambodian Exports Reach 177 Countries as Annual Volume Surges Near 35 Billion Dollars

Cambodia has expanded its commercial export footprint to 177 countries worldwide, driving overall export value to nearly 35 billion U.S. dollars despite complex global and regional economic challenges. The trade performance was presented in an official report during a Cabinet Plenary Meeting held on September 25, 2026, under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.

The report detailed a trajectory of steady export expansion achieved throughout the Seventh Mandate of the Royal Government. Outward shipments grew from 22,532 million U.S. dollars to 25,739 million U.S. dollars, representing a 14.23 percent increase, before climbing further to 29,617 million U.S. dollars, a 15.07 percent gain. Most recently, total export figures surged to 34,960 million U.S. dollars, marking an 18.04 percent growth rate. This commercial expansion has been sustained despite a volatile global backdrop marked by geopolitical tensions, regional conflicts, shifting trade orders, energy market fluctuations, supply chain disruptions, and climate-related pressures.

Government authorities emphasized that expanding trade relationships with key international partners has significantly elevated value addition for domestic agricultural products and stimulated growth across supporting local industries. By maximizing statutory benefits under existing free trade agreements, the Kingdom has systematically worked to narrow its trade balance gap while underpinning sustainable, long-term economic development.

To sustain this growth momentum, the Royal Government is actively accelerating market diversification, boosting domestic processing capabilities, and reinforcing national agro-food value chains. As part of this strategy, the Ministry of Commerce is spearheading the proactive “Made In Cambodia” campaign to position local processed agricultural goods across high-end international markets and major global retail chains.
